The design is inspired from the vineyards of Santorini which date back to 1700 b.C.
The vine growers of this special, volcanic island had to come up with a way to protect the vines from the strong winds and the hot sun of the summer. 
That is how the shape became low and circular, like a basket which protects the precious seeds from the forces of nature. 
And the name of the basket: “Kouloura”!
